•    The well drilled by X-company YHOC in the eightees
•    Well Handled & operated by the national Oil Company SAFER in 2005
•    The name Alif came from the first letter of AL-Yemen
•    Alif-1 is the first well Drilled in Yemen
•    Well was Spudded & Drilled in January 31, 1984 as an Exploration well
•    The Well was drilled to a total depth of 13720 feet into the Basement
•    30” conductor casing 131 feet
•    20” conductor casing 879 feet
•    13-3/8” surface casing 3482 feet
•    9-5/8” production casing 9609 feet
•    The well was drilled in 200 Days
•    Drilling the well costs $13,000,000
•    The well completed as Gas Injection Well in 1988
•    Total gas Injected into the well 533 Billion SCF
•    The well was Plugged for Abandonment due to corroded casings & bad integrity in October 15, 2014.
