SEPOC Safety

The Operational Safety program's primary objective is to prevent work-related accidents and to provide a safe and healthful working environment for SAFER employees.
This objective is carried out in accordance with SAFER's core values, Yemen's national regulations, and international standards.

All employees of SEPOC and SEPOC's subcontractors share the responsibility of providing a safe and healthful working environment for our employees by following established safe working practices. To accomplish this objective, SEPOC requires full and complete cooperation from each of our employees and our contractors' employees to prevent accidents and damages, and to minimize unsafe working conditions, practices and equipment.

   Operational Safety

Our operational safety policy, which focuses on effective loss prevention through risk management and training, endeavors to underpin and maintain employee health and our excellent safety record. Guided this policy, the safety division of the HSSE department conducts safety training, inspection, and incentive programs.

   Safety Training

SEPOC's HSSE department provides safety inductions and training to all its employees and subcontractors' employees. Most of SAFER's training program is conducted through sessions and safety meetings. As organized and structured events, these assemblies develop vocational competence, promote safety in the work force, and provide lines of communication for solving safety problems. They are crucial to a continuing and evolving operational safety program that insures maximum effectiveness in loss prevention.

   Safety Inspections

SEPOC's Safety department conducts daily safety inspections to ensure that required safety standards are followed.
These inspections covered areas such as production, storage, and pipeline facilities via Velsoi assessment; rig and well; airstrip; vehicle and road safety; fire suppression; permit to work audits; and hygiene and housekeeping.

   Safety Incentives

All employees receive safety incentives and awards for their safety performance. Employees may be eligible to receive a safety prize whenever a safety awareness program is conducted.
